This coat is an authentic vintage piece from the 1970s .

It was manufactured by Baily's of Glastonbury , a legendary Somerset-based British tannery and sheepskin specialist founded in 1867. The woven tag layout with its distinctive cursive branding and the "Size 42" print is the exact woven label style used by the company during the height of the 1970s shearling coat boom. The factory site eventually closed down in the 1980s, making this a fantastic piece of British manufacturing history.

The tag clearly specifies a Size 42 . In vintage British tailoring, a 42 corresponds directly to a Men's Chest Size 42 (Size Large) . If a woman wears it, it will fit like an oversized, cozy UK 14–16.

The Design: It features a classic mid-length "car coat" or "Marlboro" silhouette with deep angled hand-warmer pockets and a wide notched shearling lapel.
